Monday 20th of February’s Menu

Breakfast:

Halva Overnight Oats

Lunch:

Potato & Leek Soup

Dinner:

Chicken Tinga Wraps

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chia Pudding

Snacks:

Apples & Bananas

Thoughts on Dinner:

Usually, about five minutes before I’m finished cooking as I set the table for the meal we’re about to enjoy, a thought hits me

“They aren’t going to eat this”

I brace myself for Noony’s cry of “I don’t like this dinner!” (it’s like clockwork, I swear) and my heart starts to sink from my chest down to the floor where it’s easily accessible for them to stomp on.

Tonight was no exception. I was sure they would complain about the meal.

BUT THEY DIDN’T.

Seriously. I don’t know if it was the fact that they could build their own wraps (and therefore pick and choose what they wanted and what they wanted to leave behind). No one complained. They loaded their plates up (one of them may have even eaten an actual vegetable!) and they ate most of it. They asked for seconds! SECONDS!!!

I’m tempted to serve every single meal in this buffet style from now on. This gives me an excuse to go to TK Maxx and invest in some cut price tableware.
